A storm chaser almost got too close for comfort when he recorded a tornado on December 1 between Bluff City and Havana, Illinois. The National Weather Service said a supercell thunderstorm tracked through west-central Illinois, where Havana is based.Tornadoes that develop from supercells are considered to be the most dangerous.The National Weather Service said initial storm surveys indicated at least 18 tornadoes have occurred across the state – already the largest December outbreak since 1957.In this footage, Cory Pagel, an experienced storm chaser, is so concerned about what is happening that he can be heard saying, “for the love of God, please miss that farm.” Credit: SVLMedia/Cory Pagel via Storyful
